Job Overview

As one of the oldest medical schools in the country, the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine (COM) has a reputation for training best-in-class health care professionals and developing cutting-edge procedures and research that improves the health and clinical care of patients. In partnership with the UC Health academic healthcare system and Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, College of Medicine's faculty are transforming the world of medicine every day.

The Department of Surgery is a top-tier department with world-renowned faculty and staff.

A full-time faculty position is available in the Division of Vascular Surgery at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. This is a non-tenure track position, and the faculty title is open rank (Instructor/Assistant/Associate/Full Professor) and will be commensurate with experience.

The Division of Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Therapy is housed inside the Department of Surgery and provides vascular expertise throughout UC Health. In addition, we have among the oldest and most robust vascular residency and fellowship training programs with over 35 graduates throughout the United States.

Essential Functions
  • Duties will include clinical, research and teaching responsibilities at UC Health sites
  • Teaching and training students, residents, and fellows
  • Performing open, hybrid, and endovascular Vascular surgical care in elective, emergent and outpatient settings, including providing on call coverage for the service line.
  • Provide expert medical and imaging care of vascular conditions.
  • Spend dedicated education time with trainees for academic advising in addition to teaching responsibilities on the wards and in the operating room.
Minimum Requirements
  • Medical Degree (MD, DO)
  • Ohio medical license (prior to start date)
  • Completion of a five (5) - year accredited integrated residency in Vascular Surgery or completion of a five (5) - year accredited residency in General Surgery and completion of an accredited two (2) - year fellowship in Vascular Surgery
  • Candidate must hold RPVI credentials
Additional Qualifications Considered
  • Board certified or board eligible in Vascular Surgery
