Overview
The Cincinnati Waldorf School is seeking a Lead Teacher in a mixed-age Kindergarten classroom for the 2026-27 school year. This is a full-time, salaried position with benefits, including tuition remission. The ideal candidate will have experience with young children aged 3–6, a confident classroom presence, strong social and communication skills, and a love for children and teaching. The candidate will be expected to embrace collaboration with colleagues and to engage in a play- and nature-based curriculum that reflects our diverse community.
Experience and active interest in Waldorf Early Childhood education are vital; completion of, or current enrollment in, a Waldorf Early Childhood training at a WECAN-accredited program is preferred, and Waldorf teaching experience is a plus. We are willing to work with the right candidate who lacks this experience but is willing to pursue training in Waldorf pedagogy.
- Lead a mixed-age Kindergarten classroom (ages 3–6) with a focus on developmentally appropriate Waldorf practices.
- Maintain a positive, collaborative teaching approach with colleagues and families.
- Plan and implement a play- and nature-based curriculum reflecting a diverse community and outdoor learning in all safe weather conditions.
- Engage students in outdoor activities and experiential learning as part of daily routines.
- Experience with young children aged 3–6 and a strong classroom presence.
- Waldorf Early Childhood training (WECAN-accredited) either completed or currently enrolled;
Waldorf teaching experience is a plus. - Interest and ability to collaborate with colleagues and families.
- Willingness to pursue Waldorf pedagogy training if not already in place.
