Lead Teacher

Overview

Little Steps Daycare Center is dedicated to providing a secure and nurturing environment where children can thrive and grow. Our childcare program focuses on fostering development across language, social-emotional, physical, and cognitive skills. We deliver a hands-on learning curriculum, believing that children learn best through play. By engaging with the world around them, children can develop at their own unique pace with the support of our caring and highly trained staff.

This is an on-site Lead Teacher role located in the Cincinnati Metropolitan Area. The Lead Teacher will be responsible for creating and implementing lesson plans tailored to the developmental needs of children. The role involves conducting daily teaching activities, ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment, maintaining open communication with families, and training or mentoring assistant staff. The Lead Teacher will also actively foster an inclusive and positive atmosphere for children to explore and learn.

• Proficiency in Lesson Planning and curriculum development
• Strong background in Education and Teaching
• Exceptional Communication skills for interactions with children, families, and team members
• Experience in Training and mentoring support staff
• Ability to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
• Relevant certifications in Early Childhood Education or equivalent;
  Bachelor's degree in education or related field preferred
• CPR and First Aid certifications are an asset
• Patience, creativity, and a passion for fostering children’s development
