Position Summary - High School Mathematics Teacher (Grades 9 12)
Under the general supervision of the building principal, the high school mathematics teacher develops and delivers standards-aligned instruction that supports student achievement and mathematical reasoning in accordance with Ohio Learning Standards.

Essential Responsibilities

• Plan and implement engaging mathematics instruction aligned to Ohio Learning Standards for grades 9 12.
• Create a safe, supportive learning environment that promotes problem solving, critical thinking, and mathematical discourse.
• Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction to meet diverse learner needs, including students with disabilities.
• Integrate real-world applications and technology to enhance student understanding and engagement in mathematics.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, grades, and attendance in compliance with district and state requirements.
• Collaborate with colleagues through professional learning communities and participate in ongoing professional development.
• Communicate effectively with students and families to support student success.
• Uphold district policies and maintain high expectations for student behavior and academic integrity.

Additional Duties
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.

Equipment
Uses standard office equipment such as personal computers, printer, copy and fax machines, and telephone.

Travel Requirements
Travels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.

Certification/License:

• Ohio State Certification as a Math Education Teacher.

Education:

• Bachelors from an accredited college or university in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment.
• Masters Degree in related area preferred.
