UC Clermont College invites applications for a tenure‑track 9‑month Assistant Professor of Statistics position beginning the fall semester of 2026.

About UC Clermont

UC Clermont is an open‑admissions regional campus located in Batavia, Ohio, enrolling approximately 2,300 students. The College offers certificates, two‑year technical degrees, transfer programs, and several baccalaureate transfer pathways. Essential Functions
  • Teaching 12 credit hours per term (fall and spring semesters), delivering both face‑to‑face and online statistics courses.
  • Conducting ongoing scholarship/research and contributing to department, college, university, and community service.
  • Engaging a diverse student body that includes high‑school students, traditional and non‑traditional learners, and many first‑generation college students.
  • Demonstrating a commitment to undergraduate education and excellence in statistics pedagogy and professional development.
Minimum Requirements
  • A Doctorate in Statistics, Mathematics, Mathematics Education with a focus in Statistics, or a closely related field; degree must be awarded before the start of the Fall 2026 semester.
  • A minimum of 18 graduate semester credits (27 graduate quarter credits) in Statistics.
  • A minimum of one year of college‑level teaching experience, including primary instruction in graduate school.
Additional Qualifications Considered
  • Experience teaching statistics in both face‑to‑face and online settings.
  • Commitment to high‑quality instruction and retention in introductory statistics courses.
  • Teaching experience with a diverse learner population, including first‑generation students.
  • Commitment to cultural diversity and inclusive teaching practices.
