Job Summary: The Wellness Bell Assistant is responsible for managing the Wellness Bell classes during the school year. In addition, this position will manage test proctoring for students receiving additional time without additional educational accommodations. This is a full-time, 10-month, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm position and reports to the Vice President of Academics.
Responsibilities/Duties- Supports, promotes, and models the mission, vision, and core Ursuline values of Saint Ursula Academy.
- Works cooperatively with the Wellness Bell Coordinator, other personnel and departments to ensure a welcoming environment for students, parents, and visitors to the school.
- Monitors students throughout campus who are scheduled for Wellness Bells during the school day.
- Facilitate Guided Wellness Bells in East Building for students as required through their Academic Assistance Plan (AAP).
- Supervise students in Keller Building from 3:00 to 5:00 pm.
- Provide academic assistance to students as related to Guided Wellness Bells, Extended Testing Accommodations and Tutoring as necessary.
- Maintain student records as related to Wellness Bells including attendance, academic and behavior records.
- Administers tests for students not in the Educational Services Program (ES) who qualify for Extended Time or a separate testing space.
- Supports the Executive Assistant to the Principal in providing sub coverage (as needed) in the Student Commons Classroom.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in education or another comparable field.
- Tutoring experience is preferred.
- Proficient in Google and Microsoft Office Software products, with the ability to become proficient in Power School and Schoology.
- Active listener with excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Team player that is naturally collaborative and has a tolerance for ambiguity and uncertainty in a highly complex environment.
