Job Overview
The College of Allied Health Sciences School of Social Work is searching for a full-time Program Coordinator to provide administrative support to the Department. This position will support the University's mission and commitment to excellence in our students, faculty, staff, and all our activities. The Program Coordinator will manage the internship process and programs in collaboration with the Field Education Director.
Characteristic duties include collaborating with School and College faculty, staff, and students to achieve School and program goals, responding to program-related inquiries from current and prospective students, faculty, staff, and general public, and collaborating with Field Education Director on placement-related activities. This position is responsible for managing databases to track student progress through internships in collaboration with Field Education Director.

Essential Functions
- Develop program objectives and monitor quantitative and qualitative data on progress toward objectives. Review objectives to identify problems and solutions, prioritize solutions and develop action steps for program improvement.
- Provide financial administrative support for program initiatives.
- Develop, administer and analyze assessment/evaluation questionnaires. Compile statistics and prepare reports.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to recruit students and program participants.
- Interact with staff, faculty and external agencies and other university departments.
- May conduct research and analyze relevant literature, other benchmark information to develop grant proposals, new program ideas and propose program changes.
- May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff.
- Develop, administer, and analyze assessment/evaluation questionnaires.
- Compile statistics and prepare accurate reports as needed for program management and accreditation purposes.
- Act as liaison to internal departments, students, external entities, and community organizations.
- Assist with the identification of new internship sites.
- Assist with internship matching for MSW/BSW students
M. - aintain current and archival records related to student internships.
- Provide support and record keeping for Continuing Education Unit programs.
- Manage School listservs and other electronic communication formats (e.g., Jot forms).
- Maintain the School website and social media accounts in collaboration with College staff.
- Maintain School files and archives, including electronic databases.
- Inventory School supplies and collaborate with Financial Administrator on ordering of supplies.
- Serve on departmental and college committees as needed.
- Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
One (1) year of program coordination experience.
Additional Qualifications Considered
- Prior experience with educational and recruitment database systems, such as Catalyst, People Soft products, Slate, CART, e-curriculum, and Canvas.
- Good communication skills, both oral and written. Flexible and adaptable. Customer service oriented.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at once and successfully prioritize responsibilities. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work on tasks independently.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
