Job Overview

The University of Cincinnati is seeking an entry‑level, post‑graduate Coordinator for Student‑Athlete Development & Letter winner Engagement (Coordinator Special Projects & Programs) to support the Student‑Athlete Development Academy. This full‑time, salaried position provides student‑athletes with exposure to professional aspects of collegiate athletics and supports them in staying compliant with all departmental, university, conference, and NCAA policies.

Essential Functions
  • Assist in the daily operations, programming and initiatives that fall within the Student‑Athlete Development Academy pillars:
    Leadership, Personal Development, Career Exploration, and Community Impact.
  • Assist with department branding, social media coverage, and overall storytelling efforts.
  • Co‑teach a course for upperclassmen to support leadership development and the transition to the University of Cincinnati; including but not limited to the student‑athlete experience.
  • Coordinate community impact activities and initiatives.
  • Engage in platforms and technology that best support the Academy.
  • In collaboration with members of the team, create presentations and reports for the Academy.
  • Assist in evaluating and building programs aimed at growing engagement with current student‑athletes, alumni and future Bearcats.
  • Establish and maintain an environment conducive to the welfare, personal development, and professional readiness of the student‑athletes.
  • Establish and maintain effective interactions with students, colleagues, university staff and administrators, alumni, key stakeholders, and community partners.
  • Maintain accurate data for sustainability of the athletic alumni database (C‑Club).
  • Assist in planning and implementing reunions and special events.
  • Perform all duties in adherence with NCAA, Conference, and university policies.
Required Education
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of the education requirement.
Required Experience

One (1) year of experience in coordinating projects and/or programs.

Additional Qualifications Considered
  • The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, ability to work collaboratively, be highly organized, and comfortable presenting/teaching.
  • This position works primarily daytime office hours but requires the ability to work at assigned evening and weekend events.
