Building Aid & Substitute Teacher

St. Peter Faber Academy is seeking a Building Aid & Substitute Teacher who will support the daily operations of the school by assisting teachers, supervising students, and providing classroom coverage when needed. This position helps maintain a safe, positive, and productive learning environment while supporting the academic, social, and emotional growth of students.

Responsibilities
  • Assist classroom teachers with instructional activities and classroom management.
  • Supervise students during arrival, dismissal, lunch, recess, and transitions.
  • Provide support for students individually or in small groups under teacher direction.
  • Assist with preparation of classroom materials.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe school environment.
  • Support office staff and school-wide events as needed.
  • Monitor student behavior and reinforce school expectations and policies.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding students, staff, and school matters.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • At least 3 years in a similar role with comparable goals and responsibilities.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities.
  • Excellent writing and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn new software and systems.
