Building Aid & Substitute TeacherSt. Peter Faber Academy is seeking a Building Aid & Substitute Teacher who will support the daily operations of the school by assisting teachers, supervising students, and providing classroom coverage when needed. This position helps maintain a safe, positive, and productive learning environment while supporting the academic, social, and emotional growth of students.
Responsibilities- Assist classroom teachers with instructional activities and classroom management.
- Supervise students during arrival, dismissal, lunch, recess, and transitions.
- Provide support for students individually or in small groups under teacher direction.
- Assist with preparation of classroom materials.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe school environment.
- Support office staff and school-wide events as needed.
- Monitor student behavior and reinforce school expectations and policies.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding students, staff, and school matters.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- At least 3 years in a similar role with comparable goals and responsibilities.
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Excellent writing and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn new software and systems.
