Job Title

Annual Adjunct Instructor, Public Health & Exercise Science, UC Blue Ash College

Overview

The Allied Health Department at UC Blue Ash invites applicants for an Annual Adjunct Instructor of Public Health & Exercise Science. Classes may be day or evening; rank and compensation are based on experience and credentials. Adjunct appointments are renewed based on departmental need and teaching performance.

Job Overview

Responsibilities include teaching associate degree courses in public health and exercise science such as personal health, nutrition and health, consumer health, physical activity across the lifespan, adult and aging health, mental health issues, stress reduction, and an introduction to epidemiology. Classes may be offered day or evening, in-person or online. Not eligible for visa sponsorship. Annual adjuncts are contracted to teach on a yearly basis and must commit to teaching at least 18 credit hours for the academic year (up to 21 credit hours with additional compensation).

Essential Functions
  • On a part-time basis, teach assigned undergraduate courses.
  • Using best practices, continually evaluate student coursework.
  • Engage in other activities ancillary to or in support of their responsibilities.
  • Review and respond in a timely manner to all University-related and student communications.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Required Education
  • Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Promotion and Education, Community Health, Health Sciences, Exercise Science/Kinesiology, or a closely related field.
Required Training/Certifications
  • CHES/MCHES Certification preferred
Required Experience
  • A minimum of one year of successful classroom teaching experience in the course content area.
