On a part-time limited basis, the Adjunct Faculty member’s primary academic functions include teaching Mathematics and/or Statistics courses to a diverse set of students.
Essential Functions- On a part‑time basis, teach Mathematics and/or Statistics courses at the undergraduate level. Teaching is typically done as part of a team led by a faculty Course Coordinator. Most courses are taught in person on the Uptown West campus.
- Engage in other activities ancillary to or in support of his or her responsibilities. These activities include participation in meetings and common tasks when part of a coordinated course team.
- Review, and where necessary, respond in a timely manner to all University‑related communications.
- Master’s degree in Mathematics or Statistics, or a Master’s degree in any discipline and at least 18 credit hours of graduate‑level coursework in Mathematics or Statistics.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present complex material to students unfamiliar with a subject.
- Ability to work and collaborate with individuals from a variety of backgrounds.

If your Master’s degree is not in Mathematics or Statistics, include your graduate‑level coursework in these disciplines on your resume.
