Job OverviewThe Admissions Counselor for the College of Engineering and Applied Science (CEAS) will counsel prospective students through the college application and decision process, serving as a representative of UC at recruitment events, campus visits, and on‑campus events. The role collaborates with team members to recruit first‑year, first‑time and transfer undergraduate students, plans and executes recruitment events, visits high schools, STEM groups, and attends recruitment fairs.
EssentialFunctions
- Serve and manage a geographic territory to reach enrollment goals while being fiscally responsible, acting as the primary resource for contacts in that area.
- Travel off‑campus during key recruitment periods and work evenings, weekends, and beyond a traditional work week as needed.
- Regularly conduct presentations related to recruitment and admission of students.
- Maintain and use information about students and organizations to advise and encourage prospects from application through enrollment.
- Increase representation from strategic populations (under‑represented, high‑achieving, transfer, out‑of‑state, and international).
- Implement and explain university admissions policies.
- Coordinate specialized programmatic areas such as on‑campus and off‑campus events, student tour guides, tele‑counseling, outreach and access, high‑achieving scholars, website, social media, transfer communications, marketing, and regional campus referrals.
- Evaluate applications for admission and make holistic admission decisions, ensuring consistency and alignment with enrollment goals.
- Use a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to maintain records, prepare reports, and assist in analyzing data for future planning.

Additional Qualifications Considered:
- Proficiency in data tracking, queries, and reporting.
Salary: $46,500 per year.
