Adjunct Instructor, Communication, UC Blue Ash College

Job Overview

Adjunct Faculty members are responsible for teaching first- and second-year communication courses. This may include creating curricula or teaching from model curricula provided by the department. Candidates must have experience and training to provide course instruction in public speaking, interpersonal communication, and/or business communication. This part‑time position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

• Teach assigned undergraduate courses on a part‑time basis.
• Use best practices to continually evaluate student coursework.
• Review and respond in a timely manner to all university‑related and student communications.
• Hold regular office hours and respond to student communications promptly.
• Participate in at least one professional development workshop per year.
• Participate in program assessment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Master’s degree (or higher) in Communication.

• At least one year of teaching experience in a college setting.

• Experience teaching public speaking, interpersonal communication, and/or business communication.
• Ph.D. or ABD in communication.
