Position Summary
The After School Site Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations and overall quality of an after‑school program at a school‑based site. This role leads program staff, provides direct service to children, maintains a safe and enriching environment, and ensures compliance with Ohio childcare licensing and Step Up To Quality standards. The Supervisor manages curriculum, assessments, enrollment, documentation, and family communication.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or related field preferred. (Minimum CDA, Associate’s, or CPL 3 required.)
- Must be bilingual (Spanish/English)
- Eligible to serve as an Ohio Approved Child Care Administrator.
- Experience leading school‑age groups; supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, and adaptability.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Plan and implement daily/weekly/monthly programming and developmentally appropriate curriculum.
- Lead and supervise school‑age groups; actively participate in ratio.
- Support children’s social‑emotional and educational development.
- Manage challenging behaviors using trauma‑informed practices.
- Ensure safety procedures and emergency protocols are followed.
- Serve as the designated childcare administrator on the site’s license.
- Maintain licensing and SUTQ compliance in all program operations.
- Oversee enrollment, documentation, assessments, and data entry.
- Manage tuition/fee collection and communicate with Finance.
- Coordinate field trips, calendars, and materials management.
- Build positive relationships with families; address concerns professionally.
- Collaborate with school staff, agency partners, vendors, and internal teams.
- Support outreach activities to promote services.
- Supervise School Age Group Leads; provide weekly supervision and ongoing coaching.
- Conduct observations, support professional development, and ensure required training completion.
- Participate in hiring and onboarding of program staff.
Physical Requirements
Exposed to a combination of office, school, and mental health treatment environments. Exposed to children with behavior problems. May be exposed to shouting and clients who may be verbally and physically aggressive. May be exposed to blood or vomit and bodily fluids.
