Adjunct Asst Professor, Asian, East European, and German Studies, Arts and Sciences

On a part‑time, limited basis, the Adjunct Faculty member’s primary academic functions include teaching, discovering, creating, and reporting knowledge to a varied set of students.

• Conduct and teach assigned undergraduate or graduate level courses and seminars on a part‑time basis.
• Serve as an academic adviser for students and evaluate student coursework.
• Engage in other activities ancillary to or in support of responsibilities.
• Review and respond in a timely manner to all University‑related communications.
• Other related duties as assigned.

• Academic degree in an appropriate discipline and prior teaching experience.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to present complex material to students unfamiliar with the subject.
• Outstanding writing skills to present research in written format.
• Ability to work and collaborate with individuals from a variety of backgrounds.

• Office environment; no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
