Student Associate, Student Life & Success Assistant (SaLSA), UC Blue Ash College
Job DescriptionStudent Life & Success Assistants are employees of the University of Cincinnati Blue Ash and are responsible for fostering a positive and welcoming environment for students and guests. This role includes providing information, support, and assistance to students, staff, and visitors while representing UC Blue Ash in a professional and approachable manner.
Primary Duties- Provide excellent customer service to students by communicating accurate information.
- Answer the Student Life & Success Division phone, take messages, and transfer calls to the appropriate staff members.
- Answer Student Life & Success emails and respond as appropriate.
- Greet and assist guests who come to the Student Life & Success desk.
- Learn and refer students to relevant campus services and resources.
- Assist with new student orientation programming, student success initiatives, student life activities, and student affairs projects.
- Assist with student outreach and placement testing initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must have attended UC Blue Ash as a student for at least one semester, either currently or previously. (The current semester counts.)
- Maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA. First‑year students must earn a 2.5 GPA after their first semester.
- Demonstrate teamwork, leadership, responsibility, and effective communication skills.
- Display punctuality, professionalism, and approachability.
- Demonstrate sensitivity to all populations.
- Represent UC BA, the Student Life & Success Division, and oneself in a positive light, including personal representation on social media such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
Hourly Pay Rate: $11.00
