Job DescriptionProvides educational opportunities allowing students to reach their potential in intellectual, emotional, physical, and psychological growth.
Essential Functions / Skills- Plans and guides the learning process to help students achieve state standards.
- Verbal & physical interaction with students as needed.
- Maintains a safe classroom atmosphere.
- Establishes professional relationships with assigned students.
- Communicates with parents/guardians using Power School and Cognos.
- Maintains professional demeanor with students, parents, coworkers, and administration.
- Experience with children in a multi-ethnic setting preferred.
- Commitment to helping urban students succeed.
- Willingness to invest time to meet district challenges.
- Professional, compassionate, empathetic, caring dedication.
- Maintain positive academic atmosphere and safety.
- Implement instructional program and engage students in meaningful learning.
- Select and modify resources for diverse needs.
- Assess curricular needs and propose improvement.
- Maintain accurate student performance records.
- Use technology to benefit education.
- Encourage active student engagement.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, professionals.
- Collaborate with peers to enhance instruction.

- Minimum Bachelor’s degree or higher in secondary or elementary education from an accredited institution.
- Ohio Teacher license appropriate for subject(s) and grade levels taught.
191 days limited contract.
Salary:
Certificated Classroom Teacher per CFT agreement.
