Job Summary
The Raabe College of Pharmacy at Ohio Northern University is committed to preparing pharmacists for the ever‑changing landscape of healthcare. We are seeking proactive, engaged, and innovative individuals to help define and shape the future of the pharmacy profession. We prepare pharmacists to fill care gaps in their communities, which reflects the needs of the underserved in our rural community. Successful candidates will help us meet this goal through pedagogy, scholarship, and practice in topics related to innovative pharmacy practice, drug information, and/or public health.
Hired individuals will have the responsibility to contribute to the college's mission of scholarship through collaborative, practice‑based research and advancement of the profession. Faculty members will develop meaningful relationships with students through academic, career, and personal advising. All faculty members contribute to Department, College, and University functions through active participation on committees and other activities of the institution.
Principal ResponsibilitiesThis position will have primary teaching responsibilities in the PharmD program that include classroom and experiential instruction based on the hired individual's background. The environment is rich for research in an atmosphere that encourages student engagement in scholarship.
Required Skills- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience or interest in innovative teaching methodologies
- Commitment to the holistic development of students
- Willingness and potential to contribute to the research and service missions of the college and university
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, completed by August 2025
- Additional training or education in drug information and/or public health
- Experience collaborating with local or state health departments or associations on pharmacist‑based initiatives and/or educating the public on the safe and effective use of medications
- Track record of professional leadership
- Eligibility for licensure as a pharmacist in Ohio

The University contributes 4% of the regular salary with up to 3% of additional matched contributions into the TIAA Retirement Program. Other benefits include tuition remission for employee, spouse, and employee's dependent children under the age of 25 (this does not include the last two year of the PharmD program or the JD), and twenty days of paid medical leave per year.
