• Effectively maintain professional communication with clients and potential clients
• Perform client intake sessions to assess baseline fitness levels and goal planning
• Develop comprehensive, individualized fitness programs that adapt to the client's needs
• Motivate and encourage clients during training sessions
• Educate clients on proper exercise technique and equipment use
• Monitor client progress toward goals and adjust programs as needed
• Provide clear and concise instructions during training sessions
• Maintain client schedules in Rec Automation
• Uphold all UC Campus Recreation facility and employee policies
• Other duties as assigned

• Campus Recreation provides additional development opportunities, including conferences and committee work through our student‑led organization, Recreational Development & Leadership (RDL).
• This position may require early mornings, late nights, and holidays.
• 4‑10 hours/week

• Certified through an accredited certification: ACE, ACSM, NASM, NSCA.
• Must upload a copy of certification to the application.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Enrolled at a post‑secondary institution or secondary school.
• Enroll at least part‑time (one or more credit hours if at a post‑secondary institution), except for summer term, or will be a registered student during the next academic term.
• "Enrollment" includes:
  • The period between two successive terms for which the student is enrolled.
  • The one “off” term in each academic year in which the student is not enrolled. Student employee status may be retained for one additional term following either graduation or withdrawal from enrollment.
• Must be at least 16 years of age.

• Pay rate: $15‑$18 per hour based on experience.
• 20% discount on programs and services (excluding Pro Shop).
