Primary Duties

UC's Campus Services department works to enhance campus life for the entire university community. We excel in service, support, and financial accountability. Campus Services has the following units Bearcat Card, Campus Recreation, Conference & Event Services, Housing and Food Services, Parking and Vending.

Under Supervision of Campus Services Operations IT Department. Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Provide 1st and or 2nd level user help desk support.
  • Workstation and application configuration, installation and trouble-shooting.
  • Application support.
  • Wireless configuration and troubleshooting.
Assist in special projects based on skill level such a database design, Application design and system implementation.

Work Hours 20 hrs. per week 8:30- 5:00 Monday - Friday
  • Perform a variety of administrative, operational, or program support tasks as assigned by the department.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student, departmental, and institutional information in accordance with university policies.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and a commitment to providing quality service.
  • Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.
Minimum Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a related IT degree program. IT experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Enrolled at a post-secondary institution or a secondary school.
  • Enrolled at least part-time (one or more credit hours if at a post-secondary institution), except for summer term, or will be a registered student during the next academic term.
  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • "Enrollment" shall include:
    • The period between two successive terms for which the student is enrolled.
    • The one "off" term in each academic year in which the student is not enrolled. Student employee status may be retained for one additional term following either graduation or withdrawal from enrollment.

Career Path

A ULEO Apprentice will be eligible for promotion to ULEO 1 upon attendance and successful completion of a certified Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy (OPOTA).

  • Candidates must pass a physical agility assessment, background investigation, polygraph examination, psychological assessment, and a written test.
Physical Agility Assessment: An email will be sent to all qualifying applicants, stating the date and time of the Physical Agility Assessment and will include a "Medical Release Certification" and a waiver. Physical Agility Preparatory Sessions will be offered to demonstrate proper techniques and review the assessment process. Physical fitness requirements (see End Requirements) can be found  location of the Physical Agility Assessment will be at the UC Department of Public Safety Police Division located at 51 West Corry Boulevard, Edwards Three, Cincinnati, Ohio 45219.
