Responsibilities
The Head Coach for Men’s and Women’s Tennis is responsible for building, developing, and leading competitive NCAA Division I tennis programs that represent the university with excellence in the classroom, in competition, and in the community.
This role oversees the recruitment and selection of student‑athletes who demonstrate strong academic potential, personal character, and the athletic ability to contribute to both programs’ long‑term success.
The coach provides comprehensive support for student‑athlete growth by monitoring academic progress, fostering personal development, and designing training environments that promote physical and athletic advancement.
This includes creating structured practice plans, implementing performance‑enhancement strategies, and preparing teams for high‑level competition throughout the year.
To elevate the overall student‑athlete experience, the Head Coach also leads and participates in fundraising initiatives that strengthen program resources and expand opportunities for team development.
The position requires a commitment to integrity, compliance with all NCAA and conference regulations, and the cultivation of a positive, inclusive team culture.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 3 – 5 years of experience in collegiate tennis coaching.
- Demonstrated success in recruiting student‑athletes with strong academic and athletic potential.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Commitment to NCAA compliance and an inclusive team culture.
