Spring Community Course Art Instructors (Multiple Positions)
The Office of Engagementat theArt Academy of Cincinnati is accepting applications for the contracted position ofArtInstructor forteen and adult courses.
Instructors can teach more than one course if applicable.
Each course consists ofsixtwo-and-a-half-hour classsessions.

Responsibilities Include:
- Communicating withthe
Associate Director of Engagementto coordinateinstructor onboarding
Creating athorough and professional syllabusforcourse - Meeting with and communicating with the Associate Director of Engagement about materials
- Instruction of a studio-based lesson plan with theobjectiveof teaching specific skills to students whilealsogiving them the space to create work around the subject matter they choose
- Demonstrating beginner-to-advanced techniques applicable to the class
- Challenging a class of up to 15students with personal review of their work andfacilitatingpeer-basedreviewconversation or critiques
- Creating an inclusive and respectful studio environment for all students
- Encouragingpositive and critically supportivefeedback
- Completing survey and assessment requirements
Experience Needed:
- 4-year degree in Art, Design, Education, Language, arelatedfield OR advancedcommensurateexperience in astudiopractice, method, media, or technique
- Expertise in the field/medium you are applying to teach
- Teaching experience
Compensation and Benefits:
- $35/ hr + planning stipend
