Job Overview
Adjunct faculty must be able to teach mathematics courses ranging from the developmental (pre‑college) level through calculus. Courses may be offered in day, evening, or online meeting times, but adjunct faculty should be available to teach in person. This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.
Responsibilities- Teach assigned undergraduate courses on a part‑time basis.
- Use the course management system (Canvas) and any required textbook‑specific systems.
- Hold regular office hours for student support.
- Participate in at least one professional development workshop per year.
- Continuously evaluate student coursework using best practices.
- Respond to university‑related and student communications in a timely manner.
- Engage in other activities ancillary to or in support of responsibilities as assigned.
- Education:
A Master’s Degree (or higher) in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field; OR at least 18 credit hours of graduate‑level coursework in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field (transcripts required). - Experience:
Previous teaching experience is required.
- Knowledge of issues in math education and classroom technology.
- Experience teaching in a college setting.
