Xavier University is seeking qualified candidates to join our pool of potential adjunct faculty for the academic year. This posting is intended to collect applications for a part‑time, non‑tenure‑track position for an Adjunct Instructor in the Department of Music & Theatre.
Candidates must be dedicated to undergraduate teaching and demonstrate excellence in their field. The successful candidate(s) will contribute to our commitment to excellence in teaching and student engagement. Adjunct faculty contracts are issued on a semester‑by‑semester basis, depending on departmental needs and student enrollment.
Minimum QualificationsCandidates may qualify with a master’s degree in a related field accompanied by significant professional experience or a relevant graduate degree. Demonstrated ability to teach at the college level.

- Teach assigned course(s).
- Effective planning and preparation of lectures, discussions, and activities to support student success.
- Use Xavier’s campus‑wide academic program, Canvas, to provide course information and maintain an electronic record of students’ progress.
- Work cooperatively with members of the department.
