Join Central Montessori Academy in Cincinnati, Ohio, as we continue to strengthen our team and partner in vertical and horizontal Montessori program excellence in support of each child's journey. The Preprimary (3–6) Guide is an integral member of our Early Childhood program.
This is a co-teaching position
, where two experienced Montessori Preprimary Guides work together to support a larger mixed-age classroom community. We are dedicated to Montessori excellence and best teaching practices that honor the unique developmental needs of every child while fostering a culture of collaboration, shared leadership, and professional growth.
Together, the Preprimary Guides prepare and maintain a beautiful, authentic Montessori environment where children ages 3–6 develop independence, concentration, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning. Through purposeful observation, individualized lesson presentations, and shared classroom leadership, the Guides support each child's academic, social, emotional, and physical development in accordance with Montessori philosophy, school policies, and best practices. The co‑teaching team works closely with their Classroom Assistant, providing mentorship and support in the understanding and implementation of the Montessori Method.
The Guides' paramount responsibility is to provide a safe, healthy, nurturing, and responsive educational environment where every child feels respected, valued, and inspired to learn. Together, they recognize each child's individual developmental journey and foster a peaceful, inclusive classroom community where children learn to work independently, collaborate with others, and develop grace and courtesy, responsibility, and respect for others.
