Peer Wellness Educators – Art Academy of Cincinnati

Are you an art student who believes creativity and well-being go hand-in-hand? Join our team as a Peer Wellness Educator and help nurture a thriving resilient campus community through art-based wellness programming.

Pay Rate: $11.00 per hour

Drawing on the NASPA Certified Peer Educator model and the transformative role of art in emotional well-being, you will:

• Lead wellness workshops and creative activities that foster self-expression, mindfulness, and positive coping—using media from collage to painting and beyond.
• Use your understanding of the unique pressures faced by artists to build supportive spaces for stress relief, connection, and emotional health.
• Offer peer support using active listening and compassionate guidance and connect students to campus resources.
• Collaborate with wellness staff, faculty, and creative student groups on projects that blend art and health advocacy.
• Receive comprehensive training in leadership, mental health, and peer education based on the NASPA Certified Peer Educator (CPE) model.

• Use your creative talents to make a real impact within your art school community.
• Turn your passion for art and wellness into valuable professional experience.
• Earn NASPA CPE certification and gain skills in communication, group facilitation, and health outreach—all while getting paid for your work!
• Enjoy a flexible schedule (3-5 hours per week) and a supportive collaborative team.

• Current undergraduate or graduate art students with a commitment to wellness and supporting others.
• Creative thinkers eager to integrate the arts into wellness education.
• No prior peer support experience needed—training provided!
