Visiting Assistant Professor of Mathematics
The Department of Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science (MPCS) at the University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College is seeking applications for a visiting position at the rank of assistant professor, intended to start on August 15, 2026. The Department of MPCS currently has 29 full-time faculty who teach courses in Math, IT, Physics, and Statistics.
Essential Functions:
- Teaching assigned preparatory and undergraduate courses in Math.
- The standard teaching load is 12 credit hours per term and may include evening, weekend, hybrid, and online classes.
- Class sizes normally range from 15 to 30 students.
- Use of the university course management system (Canvas) and other technologies relevant to classroom pedagogy.
- Hold regular office hours to meet with students.
- Professional development in the discipline of math and/or the scholarship of teaching and learning such as attending workshops, seminars, and conferences.
Minimum Requirements:
- Prior to effective date of appointment, must have all of the following:
Master's degree in Math, Math Education, or a related field with at least 18 credits of graduate level math courses. - One (1) academic year of teaching experience in math at the college level, which could have been as a teaching assistant, adjunct, or full-time faculty.
