Current Xavier University employees must apply to the internal career site by logging into Workday. The posting is for part‑time, non‑tenure‑track Adjunct Instructor positions in the College of Arts and Sciences for Fall 2026. Candidates should be dedicated to graduate or undergraduate teaching and demonstrate excellence in their field.
Minimum Qualifications- Depending on courses assigned, a master’s degree in a related field with significant professional experience or a relevant graduate degree.
- Demonstrated ability to teach at the college level.
- Teach assigned course(s).
- Plan and prepare lectures, discussions, and activities to support student success.
- Use Xavier’s campus‑wide academic program, Canvas, to provide course information and maintain an electronic record of student progress.
- Work cooperatively with members of the department.
Applications will be accepted continuously; candidates may be contacted as teaching needs arise. Adjunct faculty contracts are issued semester‑by‑semester, depending on departmental needs and student enrollment.
To be considered, applicants must submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae/resume, and the names and contact information of three professional references on Xavier University’s website.
This adjunct faculty pool will end on May
31,2027. If you are not contacted by that time and remain interested in employment, reapply when a new adjunct pool posting becomes available.
