Early Head Start Home Educator Full Time
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in early childhood education preferred. Associate degree in early childhood or related field with infant/toddler coursework and a minimum of 1-2 years of work experience with infants and toddlers.
- Home Visitor CDA or EI Developmental Specialist Certificate or willingness to obtain Home Visitor CDA within one calendar year.
- Spanish bi-lingual skills preferred.
- Must have a clean driving record, driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance.
- Must be willing to comply with State of Ohio Administrative Code/Preschool licensing requirements.
Job Summary:
Responsible for providing home visiting as a direct service to families in their homes or community; promote positive parent-child interactions and support families in their role as the child's first teacher. Essential functions include adhering to agency policies, assisting with enrolling eligible families, planning home visits, maintaining confidentiality, following Head Start requirements, facilitating weekly socialization, implementing chosen curriculum, modeling engagement strategies, providing information on community and agency services, supporting family transitions, attending trainings and staff meetings, and following procedures for referral to Help Me Grow.
