Description: Long Term Substitute Teacher - 1 FTE Job Summary: The TEACHER – K-6 for Lakota Local Schools is responsible for creating an engaging, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for students in grades K-6. This role involves designing and delivering high-quality instruction aligned with state standards, fostering student growth academically, socially, and emotionally. The teacher supports differentiated learning needs, implements evidence-based instructional practices, and cultivates a positive classroom culture that encourages collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
Qualifications: Appropriate PK-5, K-8, 1-8, 4-9 Science & Social Studies Licensure Working Conditions: 7.75 hours per day, 5 days per week, 184 days per school year calendar. View the attachment for any special requirements and job description.

Selection Procedure: Vacancies occurring after July 1st will be posted and regularly contracted members may apply for these vacancies but will no longer be given preference. External candidates hired during this time will be hired on an expiring contract as a one (1) year Long Term Substitute. Administration will review all applicants who have completed an online application at through the Butler County Area Application Consortium.

Failure to satisfactorily pass the criminal background check based on the discretion of the Board of Education will preclude an individual from employment with the district.
