The Department of Mechanical, Materials, and Industrial Engineering in the College of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Cincinnati invites applications for the full-time tenure-track Dr. Phillip

C. and Mrs. Consuelo Y. Quo Endowed Professor position. The position benefits from a generous chair endowment and offers a competitive salary commensurate with candidate experience. Candidates in the broad area of Mechanical Engineering will be considered.

Essential Functions:

• Develop a world-class research program in their specialty area by attracting extramural funding, advising graduate and undergraduate students on research, and publishing research results in professional journals.
• Build externally funded joint ventures (such as multi-investigator research teams and centers) as well as strengthen partnerships with industries through research collaborations and workforce development initiatives.
• Teach graduate and undergraduate engineering courses specific to their specialty area within Mechanical Engineering.
• Participate in internal and external service activities such as editorial/peer review, career mentoring for students and junior faculty, and serving on departmental, college and university committees.

Minimum Requirements:

Prior to the effective date of appointment, a Doctoral Degree in the field of Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
