Paraprofessional Position

Forest Hills School District is seeking a paraprofessional for the 2026-27 school year. The candidate must possess an educational aide permit or be willing to obtain one. Pay rate is $19.41-$24.98 per hour. Paraprofessionals are employees who are trained to assist in the provision of special education services to children with disabilities. Paraprofessionals are to assist in providing a well organized, smoothly functioning class environment in which students can take full advantage of instructional programs including safety and well-being.

Key functions include:

• Instruction and assessment
• Behavior and socialization

The candidate must also be highly qualified by meeting one of the following requirements:

• Evidence they already have the "ESEA Qualified" designation on their current educational aide permit
• Evidence they passed the Highly Qualified Parapro Examination
• Evidence (official transcript) of attaining at least a minimum of an Associate's Degree (or higher)
• Evidence (official transcript) of earning at least 48 semester (or 72 quarter) hours of college coursework
