Intervention Specialist

Intervention specialists assess student needs and develop personalized intervention plans to address academic, behavioral, or social challenges. They provide direct instruction individually or in small groups, modify curriculum, and employ specialized teaching strategies to ensure accessibility for all students. Collaboration is essential, as they work closely with teachers, parents, administrators, and external specialists to create a cohesive support system. Additional duties include monitoring student progress, maintaining accurate records, and using data to refine interventions.

Required skills and qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field; state teaching certification with a special education endorsement is preferred. Strong understanding of diverse teaching methods and individualized instruction. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills to collaborate effectively with students, families, and school staff. Knowledge of state curriculum standards, education regulations, and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Ability to conduct assessments, analyze data, and implement evidence-based interventions. Be a U.S. citizen, U.S. National, or a lawful permanent resident.
