Special Education Teacher
Position: Special Education Teacher (IS/Special Education)
Location: Cincinnati, OH (2 public school locations)
Start Date: July 27, 2026
Duration: School Year (38 weeks)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM (40 hours/week)
Pay Rate: $45-$50/hour (based on experience)
Bill Rate: $70-$75/hour
Position OverviewThe Special Education Teacher will provide instructional services and support to K-12 students receiving special education services. Responsibilities include collaborating with general education staff, implementing student programs, providing specialized instruction, and participating in IEP-related planning and support.
Required QualificationsValid state teaching license/certification
Active ODE License required for submission
Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years old
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
At least 1 year of teaching experience
Standard Elementary, Secondary, or Special Education Teaching Certification
Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) endorsement
CPR certification (if applicable)
Current health screening requirements as applicable

Cannot accept substitute licenses
Out-of-state Intervention Specialist or supplemental IS licensure may be considered
An Intervention Specialist or Special Education Teacher with an active Ohio (or qualifying transferable) license who has experience supporting mild to moderate special education populations in collaborative classroom settings and is comfortable with both push-in and pull-out service models.
