The University of Cincinnati seeks an Adjunct Instructor of Mathematics for UC Blue Ash College within the Education, Training & E-Learning department. This part-time faculty role involves teaching undergraduate math courses, preparing engaging instructional materials, assessing student performance, and maintaining accurate records. The instructor will support diverse learners, hold regular office hours, and use innovative, inclusive teaching practices. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills, a commitment to student success, and the ability to collaborate within UC's creative, research-driven academic community.

Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate mathematics courses at UC Blue Ash College in alignment with department and college standards.
  • Prepare syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, and assessments that support student learning outcomes.
  • Deliver engaging instruction in multiple formats, including in-person, hybrid, and online, as scheduled by the department.
  • Assess student performance fairly and consistently, provide timely, constructive feedback, and submit grades by required deadlines.
  • Hold regular office hours or equivalent availability to support and advise students on course material and academic progress.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and communication in accordance with university policies.
  • Incorporate inclusive teaching practices that support a diverse student population and promote an equitable learning environment.
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and program leadership to align courses with departmental goals and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Use the university's learning management system and other educational technologies to deliver course content and track student progress.
  • Stay current with developments in mathematics education and pedagogy, integrating relevant best practices into instruction.
