The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College invites applications for an Academic Tutor position in our Writing and Study Skills Center. The Writing and Study Skills Center (WSSC) offers UCBA students support with writing, reading, study skills, and student success strategies.
Reporting to the WSSC Program Manager, the academic tutor supports student learning in writing and study skills from a holistic, student-success oriented perspective. Academic Tutors work with students from all disciplines through individualized one-on-one or small group sessions delivered in person or online. The tutor will help foster an environment of continuous improvement and excellence in an open access college.
This is a benefits eligible position. It is a part-time position with a full-time equivalency (FTE) of 80%. Average weekly hours will be greater during the Fall and Spring semesters (approx.
32-38 hours per week.) Hours are reduced during the summer semester (approx. 28 hours/week) for a total of 1664 hours per year. The working schedule may require evening hours and occasional weekend work at conferences, orientations, open houses, etc. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
