Job DescriptionCTL Aerospace is a full-service FAA/EASA/CAAC Repair Station providing services to the aerospace industry since 1946. The CTL Repair Division specializes in the overhaul and repair of aircraft metal and composite components.
We are seeking talented professionals to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment as an Aviation Manual Machinist at our northern Cincinnati, Ohio location (less than 30 minutes from Dayton and/or northern Kentucky).
Job Requirements- Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
- Reads and interprets blueprints.
- Uses gages and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements.
- Uses precision tools, machinery and equipment such as lathe, vertical milling machine, drill press, hydraulic press, chop saw, push and pull broaches and a variety of cutting tools.
- Fabricates and shapes parts such as tools and machine parts out of metal, plastics, and composites.
- Properly and safely selects, aligns, secures and removes holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and material onto machines.
- Recognizes, deploys and properly uses inserts, fixtures and tooling.
- Performs daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment.
- Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions.
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Mandatory FAA drug and alcohol screening.
- Able to work in a repair environment.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
This position requires you to undergo a DOT/FAA pre-employment drug test for the following prohibited drugs (as defined in 49 CFR § 40.3) prior to being hired or transferred into a Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). position as defined in 14 CFR part 120[1]:
- Phencyclidine (PCP)
- Amphetamines
[1] A safety-sensitive function, as described in 14 CFR part 120, §§ 120.105 and 120.215, includes a flight crew member, flight attendant, flight instructor, aircraft dispatcher, aircraft maintenance or preventive maintenance, ground security coordinator, aviation screener, air traffic controller, and operations control specialist.
