Quest Defense Systems and Solutions is seeking technically strong, customer-focused engineer who can bridge IT and engineering, develop and maintain robust distribution mechanisms, and proactively improve tool reliability and user experience. As our Aero
- Tools Engineer, you will provide front-line and backend support for engineering tools, ensuring issues are quickly triaged, resolved, and communicated while continuously improving the tool build and distribution process.

Due to the nature of the project all applicants must be US Citizens or US lawful permanent resident. This role can be remote but preference is in the Cincinnati area with the ability to go onsite as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support user community by fielding issues reported by the designer running the tool.
  • Work closely with the ADT triage team to work open tickets in a responsive fashion.
  • Support, define and manage our tool build process for improving our support of our tools.
  • Answer support questions from users on issues pertaining to the tool.
  • Work with users to identify issue, research problem, propose solutions, and make corrections to tools and/or distribution environment.
  • Create and update logs of issues and corrective actions.
  • Provide timely communications on significant issues.
  • Prepare and present reports on findings.
  • Work with internal IT teams to improve performance/reliability of the distribution process.
Required Skills
  • Strong skills in developing, coding and deploying distribution mechanisms.
  • Familiarity with Windows and Linux OS as it pertains to tool/file permission and execution.
  • Strong experience in programming (e.g., Bash, Perl, Git).
  • Preferred experience in programming/debugging in C/C++ and/or Fortran.
  • Strong cross-functional (IT/Engineering), teaming, and communication skills.
  • Must be US Citizen with a BS in IT engineering field.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • Mostly Office Environments, Occasional Shop Floor involvement.
  • Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work.
  • Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.
  • Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.
  • Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9AM to 4PM.
  • Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.
  • Due to the nature of the work, all candidates must be a U.S. Citizen.

Compensation

Full compensation package is based on candidate experience and certifications. Pay Ranges: $66,000 — $75,000 USD.
