Primary Responsibilities

HDR is currently in need of a Water/Wastewater Engineer to work as a member of the Water Business Group in our Cincinnati Ohio office. The successful candidate will be expected to work as a team member for studies and / or detailed design and construction services for water / wastewater treatment plants, pump stations and collection / distribution systems. In the role of Water/Wastewater Engineer, we will count on you to:

• Create detailed designs of water/wastewater treatment plants, pump stations and collection/distribution systems.
• Prepare drawings write specifications, analysis and study-level reports for water and wastewater systems, determine appropriate design methods, equipment sizing and selection, and cost estimation.
• Assist the project manager throughout the design and construction phases of projects.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Required Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
• 5 years of experience
• PE
• Experience in evaluating, designing, and/or developing drawings and specifications for water/wastewater treatment facilities and pump station projects is preferred.
• Ideal candidate is self-motivated, an excellent communicator (written and verbal), attentive to detail, able to work independently and with a project team to the completion of a task.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required. Experience with Microsoft Project or Primavera project management software is preferable.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.

Preferred Qualifications

• M.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering is preferred.
• Micro Station and/or AutoCAD experience a plus.
• Preference given to local candidates
