The Staff Enterprise Application Engineer will provide advanced technical support and leadership for enterprise engineering applications. This role involves designing, deploying, integrating, and maintaining critical systems that support engineering operations, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and security. The contractor will collaborate with engineering and program teams to optimize application performance and ensure high-quality, compliant system operations.
Key Responsibilities- Design, configure, and integrate enterprise-level engineering applications, including tools such as IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management, Cameo, DOORS Classic, and Siemens CAD tools.
- Modernize and migrate legacy technology stacks as part of ongoing digital transformation initiatives.
- Develop and maintain Bash or Power Shell scripts for automation and system management.
- Translate systems engineering workflows into application features, automation, and standard processes that enhance performance and compliance.
- Manage the reliability, performance, and lifecycle of assigned applications, including monitoring, patching, upgrades, and incident response (L2/L3 support).
- Collaborate with product and systems engineering stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize backlogs, and plan releases.
- Implement process improvements and automation to reduce manual work and increase efficiency.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, training materials, and user guides.
- Provide mentorship and serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical solutions and trade-offs.
- Strong ownership mindset and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies.
- Familiarity with agile delivery methods and lean continuous improvement practices.
