Databricks Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Databricks Engineer for a Contract with a client in Cincinnati, OH
. This role requires a Databricks Engineer with deep expertise in Azure Dev Ops and Azure Data Factory to support modern data engineering workflows.

Rate Range: $75/hour to $85/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Provision, configure, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure using IaC tools such as Terraform, ARM, or Bicep to support scalable data engineering environments.

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure Dev Ops to automate Databricks clusters, jobs, notebooks, libraries, and environment promotions.

• Oversee deployment and release processes, ensuring smooth coordination across teams with proper rollback and recovery strategies.

• Develop and maintain Azure Data Factory pipelines and orchestration frameworks to support end‑to‑end data workflows.

• Implement strong cloud security practices including RBAC, managed identities, Key Vault integration, and adherence to governance frameworks like Unity Catalog.

• Monitor and troubleshoot application, infrastructure, and pipeline issues using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Databricks observability tools, collaborating closely with engineering and operations teams.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

  6–8 years of hands‑on experience in Azure cloud engineering, Databricks, Azure Dev Ops, and data‑pipeline automation.

• Strong expertise in Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, CI/CD automation, and Infrastructure‑as‑Code using Terraform, ARM, or Bicep.

• Proven ability to design secure, scalable cloud solutions with deep knowledge of RBAC, managed identities, Key Vault, Unity Catalog, and Azure monitoring/diagnostics tools.

Pay Details: $75.00 to $85.00 per hour
