OverviewWe are seeking a Project Controls professional for our Cincinnati, OH and Indianapolis, IN locations. The role involves leading project controls for award-winning projects, working with the project team to ensure awareness of project cost and risks, and providing alternative mitigation strategies.
Responsibilities- Perform the program and project controls for assigned projects, including managing the overall project controls and reporting function.
- Interfacing with engineering, construction, procurement, planning, IT, accounting, economics and finance, tax, contracts and legal to ensure compliance with execution strategy and cost objectives.
- Provide status reports and reporting analyses to company and client management; identify problems and coordinate with the project team to coordinate work across departments and offices to meet cost requirements.
- Prepare project cost controls plans and reports, financial summaries, and related activities for project management; manage processes and procedures for cost management; evaluate projects at each development stage to ensure cost and financial control; review contract drafts and terms to ensure alignment with cost controls.
- Contribute to design of a career path and participate in ongoing project delivery improvements.
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, construction management, business or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- 8+ years of related project controls experience in an EPCM industry environment (preferred).
- Experience with cost engineering functions including cost estimating, cost control, change management and cost analysis.
- Experience using Primavera (P6) scheduling tool and Schedule Analysis/Acumen Fuse.
- Experience in project controls and financial aspects of projects; ability to coordinate issues across projects.
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM).
- Ability to develop cost and schedule analyses and present them graphically and verbally.
- MS in Engineering, Business Administration or Construction Sciences (not required).
- Excel macros, databases (MS Access), Power BI and dashboard development skills are desirable.
Hybrid role; based in Cincinnati, OH or Indianapolis, IN. Requires in-office presence at least 2 days per week.
