Senior Mechanical Engineer

Insight Global is seeking a candidate for a leading supplier for marine deck machinery and specialized weapons and material handling systems. Through the years, the company has emerged into an internationally recognized organization with extensive expertise in marine design/engineering and the manufacturing of critical shipboard systems.

This position performs complex analytical work and coordinates with other engineering professionals, FEC associates, customers, and vendors.

• This position performs complex analytical work and coordinates with other engineering professionals, FEC associates, customers, and vendors.

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering;
  Master’s degree is a plus.
• 5+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, solid modeling, and FEA are required.
• Familiarity with MIL specifications, Autodesk Inventor, mechanical shock analysis, testing, and project management experience preferred.
• High level of verbal and written communication skills along with interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Results-oriented with a willingness to take responsibility and initiative.
• Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• High proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Strong work ethic with the ability to maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced, growth environment.
• Proven ability to establish effective working relationships at all levels.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
