Electrical Engineer – R&D

Seeking an Electrical Engineer to support front-end R&D for the development of energy-based handheld medical devices used in surgical applications. This role focuses on early-stage product development
, including concept design, prototyping, testing, and cross-functional collaboration.

• Support electrical design and development from concept through early prototyping
• Design, execute, and document electrical test procedures and engineering studies
• Perform electrical troubleshooting and root cause analysis during development and testing
• Generate technical documentation (theory of operation, design rationale, reports)
• Collaborate with mechanical, biomechanical, and systems engineers on device integration
• Conduct hands‑on bench and lab testing, including tissue-based evaluations
• Participate in design reviews and cross‑functional technical discussions
• Translate system requirements into electrical designs and evaluate trade‑offs
• Contribute to PCBA design
  , including schematics, simulation, prototyping, and troubleshooting

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Strong background in analog and digital circuit design
• Experience designing and documenting electrical tests and engineering studies
• Proficiency with Cadence and/or Altium
• Experience with PCBA design
  , prototyping, and manufacturing support
• Experience with embedded electrical design

• Energy-based or RF medical devices
• Tissue lab or lab-based device testing
• Early-stage R&D and new feature development
