We are seeking a Senior Estimator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key part in collaborating with Sales, Project Management, Engineering and the Field to provide a detailed estimate of all labor and materials required to complete the Scope of Work for custom unitized curtain wall projects.
You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders to deliver high‑quality solutions in a fast‑paced environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesANALYZES SCOPE OF WORK:
- Reviews all project‑related documentation and demonstrates a complete understanding of all requirements on assigned projects
- Analyzes custom requirements new to the company and notes details
- Determines the most efficient and cost‑effective approach to meet requirements
- Ensures SOW in final contract matches SOW sold
- Accurately calculates the labor cost for Shop, Engineering, Field & PM's based on an analysis of previous projects
- Accurately calculates the amount and type of material (extrusions, dies, paint etc.) & required parts to deliver to the contracted specifications
- Solicits bids from multiple vendors and ensures proposals are "apples to apples"
- Collaborates with Resource Group and other internal teams to analyze custom requirements new to the company and identify solutions
- Effectively transitions project to internal project teams with all pre‑sale obligations noted
- Assists teams in interpreting project requirements and details
- Associate degree in a relevant technical field is preferred
- 5-7 years of estimating experience in glass and glazing /construction
- 5-7 years of experience with projects involving curtain wall
- Proficiency in Bluebeam is required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents to guide project tasks
- Experience reading and analyzing construction and project management documents
- Familiarity with basic engineering and architectural principles in structures
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
