Industrialization Support Manager is responsible for driving New Product Introduction (NPI), industrial validation, and supplier readiness activities across Safran Aircraft Engines' U.S. supply base. This role serves as a critical interface between the IH Center of Excellence Design Office, U.S. suppliers, and internal cross‑functional teams to ensure robust product definitions, manufacturable designs, and smooth industrialization of new and modified parts.
Key Responsibilities Supplier Collaboration & Related Management- Serve as the primary technical liaison between the IH Design Office and U.S. suppliers.
- Build strong on‑site and remote relationships to ensure clear communication and alignment.
- Support suppliers in understanding product definitions, specifications, and quality requirements.
- Develop and maintain key relationships with turbine airfoil suppliers and other strategic partners.
- Lead and support NPI activities at supplier sites, ensuring manufacturability and industrial readiness.
- Facilitate rapid implementation of design changes and improvements.
- Analyze and refine design‑change procedures to streamline implementation.
- Encourage concurrent engineering between Safran design teams and suppliers.
- Lead industrialization projects from kickoff through validation of product and process robustness.
- Oversee the Industrial Validation Process (IVP), including DVI, PPAP, and FAI deliverables.
- Prepare and review validation packages with suppliers (FAI, DVI, qualification files).
- Ensure supplier compliance with specifications, quality documents, and Safran standards.
- Lead or contribute to quality initiatives such as PFMEA, ENQA, audits, and root‑cause investigations.
- Identify deviations, define action plans, and drive corrective actions to closure.
- Reduce non‑quality events in partnership with Quality, Engineering, and suppliers.
- Implement metrics and indicators to track industrialization performance.
- Ensure smooth transition from development to production at supplier sites.
- Support suppliers in achieving production certification (DVI, FAI).
- Assist with capacity planning, ramp‑up readiness, and recovery plans when needed.
- Address logistics, quality, and technical issues impacting development or production.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Management, or Operations Management.
- Minimum:
Bachelor's degree in supply‑chain management, industrial management or operations management.
- 3‑8 years of experience in Systems Engineering, Design Office, industrialization, or production support.
- Experience with NPI, supplier industrialization, or manufacturing engineering.
- Project management experience preferred.
- Experience in aerospace, casting, or turbine airfoil manufacturing is a strong plus.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, industrial validation, and quality tools.
- Proficiency with DOE, PFMEA, 8D, Control Plans, Lean, DMAIC, and root‑cause analysis.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead teams and influence without authority.
- Tenacious, hands‑on, and committed to driving results.
- Creative, assertive, and able to challenge the status quo.
- Comfortable in a fast‑paced, multicultural, and matrixed environment.
- Based in Cincinnati, OH with frequent travel (30‑50%) to U.S. and Mexico suppliers; occasional Europe travel.
- English fluency required;
French language skills are a plus. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
