Mechanical Engineer Intern​/Co-op Fall

CMTA, a Legence Company – CMTA is a fast‑growing engineering firm specializing in sustainable, high‑performance building engineering. This co‑op program is for students in Mechanical, Electrical, or Architectural Engineering. Students will work on real mechanical/HVAC/Energy design projects, learn AutoCAD and Revit, and have the potential for full‑time employment after graduation.

Position:
Full‑time, onsite, 40 hrs/week. Start in August 2026, duration through Fall 2026 (dates flexible to school calendar). Competitive hourly rate, overtime eligible. No sponsorship available.

• Produce detailed layout and equipment details of HVAC systems
• Produce one‑line diagrams and schematics
• Assist the design team in assembling organized sets of drawings
• Assist in data collection and field verification
• Collaborate with designers and engineers to develop all aspects of a project

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering, preferably sophomore or junior year
• Strong interest in building systems mechanical engineering
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to work independently and with a team
• Must be available full time in our office throughout the co‑op term
• Willingness to travel locally for site inspections and field work
