Overview

Johnson & Johnson is recruiting R&D Design & Development Co‑ops for the Fall 2026 term in the Med Tech sector.

Location:

Cincinnati, OH (U.S.)

• Use state‑of‑the‑art tools and attend on‑site training courses.
• Perform testing, experimentation, and validation to support product design.
• Contribute to design solution activity through utilization of CAD tools, simulation tools, and core engineering principles under guidance of experienced engineers.
• Assist in developing laboratory testing, interpreting data results, and recommending next steps.
• Receive intermediate CAD training, including building simulation models, developing kinematics models, and performing stack‑up analysis.
• Progress through 3–5 month rotations; rotations available for multiple assignments.

• Enrolled in an accredited institution pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (PhD may be considered).
• Completed at least two semesters prior to the co‑op start (class standing of sophomore or higher).
• Class standing during the term must not have a graduation date before April 2026.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States for the entire term (8/24/2026 – 12/11/2026).
• Demonstrated leadership or campus/community service participation.
• Available to work full‑time on‑site; all courses and coursework must be completed outside business hours (8a.m.‑5p.m., Monday‑Friday).
• Preferred: prior internship or co‑op experience in the medical device industry.

• Hourly pay:
  Sophomore $24.75/hr
  , Junior $25.75/hr
  , Senior $27.75/hr
  , Master’s $33/hr
  , Software Engineering major with 2years’ experience post‑grad $37/hr

• Competitive wage and housing assistance for students living more than 50miles from the site.
• Housing assistance includes a one‑time taxable stipend to support cost of living; transportation is not provided.
