Overview
As a CAD Designer for Civil & Environmental Consultants Inc. (CEC) in our Cincinnati, OH office, you will work with project managers to produce civil site, water resources, stream restoration, and solid waste construction documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D. This includes site plans, grading & drainage plans, utility plans, erosion control plans, and storm and sewer profiles. You will also assist in stream restoration design, creating plans, profiles, channel cross‑sections, calculating quantities, and developing stormwater pollution prevention plans.
Additionally, you will calculate quantities for construction estimates, determine earthwork volumes (cuts and fills) based on existing and proposed topography, identify and prepare appropriate construction control systems on plans (baselines, stationing, control points, etc.), and provide value‑oriented design suggestions while reviewing drawings and documents to ensure compliance with company design and production standards.
- Associates (or higher) in Engineering Information Technologies, Computer Aided Drafting, or a related field
- 6+ years of experience
- Proficiency in Civil 3D
