Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Meteorology, or related fields
  • 8+ years consulting, compliance, or industry experience
  • Experience with emission inventory calculations, air permit application preparation, and compliance reports
  • Experience in Project Management of air quality permitting and compliance projects is a must
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
  • Knowledge of New Source Review procedures
  • Experience with Best Available Control Technology analyses
  • Familiarity with air compliance needs of the natural gas, manufacturing, and power industries
  • Familiarity with Pro Max
  • Dispersion modeling experience using AERMOD

About Us

As an Air Quality Project Manager for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in our Cincinnati, OH office, you will evaluate and present information regarding emissions from proposed processes and equipment in support of state and federal permit applications and regulatory compliance reports. Assisting clients with sustainability reporting and achieving Environmental, Social, Governance goals are also important priorities for this role.

Job duties will include performing engineering calculations, compiling permit application documents, preparing compliance reports, meeting and coordinating with clients to obtain and understand project information, communicating with regulatory personnel, and evaluating control technologies and emission reduction options for client facilities. The candidate will work with an established technical staff of junior to experienced scientists and engineers and be expected to provide mentoring and technical training.
